Projects Abroad一直致力在多個發展中國家設立環境保護項目，保護當地的動植物品種，參與各類型的環保工作。我們也欣然宣佈與國際動物保護組織 (Animal Defenders International - ADI) 成為最新的合作夥伴，很高興得到他們的支援，幫助數隻動物放生到我們在秘魯的塔利卡保護區裡，重返大自然的懷抱。這些動物很多曾經在馬戲團裡長期遭受虐待，幸而獲救，能夠重過新生。
7月7日，薩摩亞橄欖球隊Manu Samoa和新西蘭橄欖球隊All Blacks在阿皮亞體育場進行了一場大眾期待已久的激烈比賽。雖然兩個國家關係密切，但是All Blacks球隊從沒到訪過薩摩亞作賽，所以很多薩摩亞人對此感到一絲失望，因為不少人是橄欖球迷。還好，經過多年的部署，兩隊終於能夠在薩摩亞首都碰頭，並且在現場8000位觀眾的見證下，於全新翻修的體育場館上舉行這場歷史性賽事。

Projects Abroad is offering a special two week option for professional dentists in Jamaica this summer. Starting from August 10th, professional dentists seeking to make a meaningful impact with their skills, will be working in conjunction with non-profit organisation, A Child’s Smile.
Owned by the Director of Projects Abroad Ecuador, William Puga, and partly funded by Projects Abroad itself, a new nursery is well on its way to housing some of the Galapagos’ most precious plant species. The Galapagos National Park, a Projects Abroad partner, will provide plants for the nursery and provide assistance and guidance to volunteers during the development stages at the nursery.
One of the primary concerns of the Conservation Project in Costa Rica, is the integration of the local community with the conservation efforts going on inside the national park. The primary form through which this initiative is realized is through the Bandera Azul or “Blue Flag” program that Projects Abroad volunteers have worked to implement in local schools.
Satchel Tangonan from White Plains and Y-Lan Nguyen from New York City, have been best friends since they first met at mathematics class at Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York. Both share a strong interest in medicine and wanted to gain practical experience before starting their medical career in the US.

Projects Abroad Fiji celebrated the one year anniversary of our Shark Conservation Project this month. Volunteers and staff in Fiji, celebrated the occasion by planting 365 mangrove saplings, one for each day that the project has been running.
Projects Abroad Jamaica brought some festive cheer to children this past Christmas through the annual toy drive, which saw 1248 toys given to underprivileged children across the country. Dubbed “Operation Krismus Smile” this ambitious project ensured that children received a gift this year.
Nineteen year old Kathleen Wilson, a graduate from The Potomac School in Virginia, USA, has always been interested the world around her. Eager to seize the opportunity to see the world as a volunteer, as well as to gain experience in her field of interest, Kathleen spent 7 weeks on a conservation project with Projects Abroad.
