Mystery Parcels Delivered to Projects Abroad Romania
Mircea Samoila the Projects Abroad Romania Director had a surprise delivery last week. As he was at his desk answering emails he was interrupted by a delivery man. Mircea was amazed to hear that the delivery weighed 385kg! What could it be?
The sender’s reference didn’t mean anything to Mircea being a cryptic ‘Make a Difference for Romania’. It turned out to be a donation from Melanie Persson from Sweden who volunteered in Brasov for a month teaching in September last year.
Melanie had returned to Sweden and ended up working for TNT the courier company. Together with two of her colleagues Clara and Robert they decided to send out some parcels to be donated to the poor and disadvantaged that live in and around Brasov.
Mircea in Romania says:
“All my colleagues at Projects Abroad Romania and I are very grateful to Melanie and everyone at TNT in Sweden for their generosity and thoughtfulness. We would like to assure you that we feel you are indeed ‘Making a Difference for Romania’.”
